Glasgow born. Glasgow raised.

After 20-odd years working in the fashion industry, I knew it was time to stop talking about doing my own thing and actually do it. So, that’s what happened. One day it was sketches, notes and half-baked ideas… and the next, well, it was this…

Whitehill Mercantile Co.

The name is a nod to the street where I was born, where it all started, and a celebration of the culture and creativity of Glasgow, the bustling city I call home.

Few made. Well made.

It’s mostly a one-man band, but it’s safe to say I don’t do it alone. Whitehill Mercantile Co. is nothing without my friends, family, machinists and pattern cutters — all pitching in to help make ‘the magic happen’.

Together, we create easy, everyday classics. We take great pride in producing seasonless pieces designed to last; quality clothing thoughtfully crafted to be worn day in, day out. And you can forget ‘fast fashion’... we prefer a slower pace, reflected in the laidback cuts and ‘throw-on’ spirit of our collections.

Why not take a closer look? You’ll find made-to-order staples in high-quality surplus and deadstock fabrics, all made right here, in Scotland.

Minimal waste. Maximum style.

Personal style is your signature. And it’s always great to see how you wear us.
Whether you’re partial to a bold camo print, bright colourway or perhaps you prefer a simpler shade (think khaki, navy or faithful black), you’re sure to find a new favourite in our collection — and remember to tag us on social when you do @whitehillmercantileco.

Cheers for shopping with us,
